General Rules
- Be respectful to all other players.
- Use common sense. If you are confused about a rule, please ask a staff member or use your
best discretion.
- Do not discriminate, harass, or direct unnecessarily foul language towards any other
players.
- Do not impersonate any other player.
- Any threats or intent to harm other players, or the server itself, will result in a
Ban.
- Avoiding punishment by a staff member, through any means, is forbidden.
- Do not use cheats or exploits.
- Do not advertise for other communities.
- Only report players for valid reasons.
- Do not waste a staff member's time.
- Do not interrupt admin sits.
- When making a ticket, please specify the reason.
Server Policies
- Any player who reaches 50 Warns will be Banned from the server for one
week. Any player who reaches 75 Warns (an additional 25 after their first
Ban has elapsed) will be Banned for two weeks. Players with 100
Warns will be Banned for three weeks, and players with 125 Warns
will be Banned for a whole month, after which time their Warns will be
reduced to 75.
- If you share a Steam or Garry’s Mod account, you accept the possibility that your account
may be Banned even if the person who broke the rules was not yourself.
- Your RP Name must be at least three standard english characters in a row, and may
not be similar to any other player’s name.
- Staff members reserve the right to use their best judgement when dealing with infractions
not mentioned in the MOTD. Do not question their authority.
- Do not Votekick other players if a staff member is online. If a staff member is
online but away, you may Votekick.
- Two wrongs don’t make a right. If you need help with a rule breaker, contact a staff member,
don’t try to take the matter into your own hands.
- Staff members are not required to take tickets or be on duty at all times, they have the
right to roleplay as they see fit
Social Rules
- The repeated use of racial, homophobic, or sexist slurs in-game will result in a
reprimand.
- Do not spam voice or text chat. Do not use OOC, Admin Chat, or the ticket
system for reasons other than their intended uses.
- Anything annoying or unnecessary is considered micspam
- Multi-adverts, like "Hit Accepted / Hit Complete / Raid / Raid
Assist / Pepe / GTX 1080 / Raid Over," are not allowed.
- Adverts must clearly show what action the player intends to do, and cannot be hidden, or disguised to look like normal chat.
- Do not play any sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content on television or radio
entities, or in the theater.
Gameplay Rules

Basic gameplay rules:
- Do not roleplay in spawn.
- You may not spam-knock on doors.
- Do not camera spam.

Random Deathmatch (RDM):
- Players directly harming your life, property, or freedom may be killed without
warning.
- Raids and hits can be completed by killing without warning (provided Raid
and Hit Accepted have been averted appropriately).
- In all other cases, before killing a player you must perform three warning adverts (Warn
1, Warn 2, Warn 3), and make it clear to the player in
question why you are warning them. You may only warn players if you have real
in-character reason for doing so.
- If a player is warning you, you do not have the right to kill them unless they
actually shoot at you.
- Randomly shooting at or near other people or their base may be considered
RDM.
- Kill On Sight (KOS) signs may only allow the killing of players
for being past a certain point, not for acting in a certain way or doing something.
- KOS signs may not pertain to sidewalks or other outside areas, only bases
themselves.
- Players may only be killed for actively violating a KOS sign; so, if a
player crosses a KOS line but leaves the area quickly thereafter, for
example, they may not be subsequently killed by the owner of that KOS line.
- Players may not be killed for "loitering" or standing still.

Metagame & New Life Rule (NLR):
- Your character may not use information beyond their realistic knowledge.
- Characters must have a real and valid in-character reason behind their actions.
- Do not hide within props or entities to avoid combat.
- Do not sit within destroyed or flaming vehicles.
- New Life Rule applies when a someone is killed during a raid: players must
wait until that raid is completed (when the raiders advert Raid Over) to
return to the site of their death.
- New Life Rule also dictates that no player may return to the site of their
death for at least 120 seconds after respawning.
- Players may not kill themselves to avoid a player performing an Hostile
Action against them.
- Players may not remember any aspect of their former life after death.
- Players may not scam one another out of money or goods.

Props & Entities:
- Do not climb on props, entities, or other player-spawned objects to access a base or
area.
- Do not spawn props intentionally too quickly.
- Never spawn props inside of other players' bases without permission.
- Do not spawn props or entities (including televisions and radios) outdoors.
- Do not spawn props or entities within police department jail cells.
- Abnormally large bases, obscene objects, or structures which block the road will be
removed.
- Don’t vape over chess or checkers tables.
- Materials or effects which allow players to see through props or entities are not
allowed.
- Translucent props and materials are fully acceptable; transparent props are not
allowed.

Bases & Structures
- Kos and Building signs must be easily visible with a minimum text size of 40
points
- A player must be able to enter and exit all parts of your base using a lockpick.
- All entrances to a base must be at ground level. You cannot force a player to climb into your base via a ladder, ramp, etc to enter your base.
- Props that inhibit normal movement are not allowed for defence (ie slippery props or incredibly tight spaces)
- No base may give defenders unfair advantages in a raid (Headshot or Footshot
cracks are illegal, as are Blackout Bases).
- Bases may have no more than three Fading Doors total.
- Each fading door must have two keypads connected to it (One on each side of the
door)
- Players may have up to three Fading Windows, which are controlled by
non-toggle, hold-down buttons, per base. Players should not be able to fit through
Fading Windows, otherwise they are considered Fading Doors.
- All keypads must be easily visible, accessible, and connected to a working Fading Door.
- Keypads must open their respective doors for at least five seconds with no
activation delay.
- All cameras must be physically within or attached to the walls of a base, not
floating outside.
- Bases cannot force players to crouch or jump in order to reach any part of a base.
- Fading Bridges and floating bases are not allowed.
- You may shoot through windows and doors that are part of the map, but not walls.
- Only up to four people may inhabit any single base together.
- To Megabase, seek the approval of a staff member.
- Megabases Megabases must follow all normal building rules
(they may have three Fading Doors and three fading windows per building, plus
two Fading Windows and two fading doors at the entrance of the megabase, as opposed
to the usual three total).
- Players may build on the streets and roads within a Megabase.
- All Megabase occupants must share a party.
- Only up to six people may live together in a single Megabase.
- The rooms inside the hotel and the apartment complex in suburbs are considered
separate bases. You may Megabase in them, all of the typicalMegabase rules apply
- Each building within any given Megabase must be owned by a different
player.
- You may not Megabase in Suburbs.
- In buildings with more than one living area, each individual room is considered a
separate base.

Roleplay Relation
- You are free to protect players that you have RP Relation with (the first
rule of RDM extends to these people, so you may defend them from Attacks).
- You are free to assist players that you have RP Relation with in raids or
muggings, but must always advert Assist beforehand. Players with RP
Relation may not refuse valid offers of assistance.
- Players must be in the same Party to base together.
- There are three ways to be RP Related.
- Mafia and Terrorist are the only teams that have implicit RP Relation to their respective teams.
They may defend one another, but they must advert Counter before doing so.
- For Merchants, whilst engaging in a transaction, you have RP Relation
with your customer. You must advert Counter to defend them if they are
Attacked during a deal.
- If players are in a Party together, they may defend one another without
advert.
- Specific rules regarding which classes may Party together are listed below.
Attack Rules

Raids
- Players must wait five minutes between raids.
- Players may not raid any one base more than once every ten minutes.
- Players may not raid anyone with whom they have RP Relation.
- If it is obvious that the base you are raiding is either abandoned, has no entities,
or is unowned, you may not raid it.
- You cannot raid a building that is currently in the process of being raided by another player
- Players who own or co-own the front door of a base may defend said base from a
raid and are not required to advert. If players have RP Relation with the owner and would like to protect the base, they must advert counter.
- Players must advert Raid before raiding!
- Assisting raiders must advert Raid Assist.
- Only players with RP Relation may assist one another in raids.
- You may not build during a raid.
- The defender cannot lock any door nor close any garage door during a raid's duration
- If you’re raiding a base, anyone inside can be killed immediately.
- If you leave the area mid raid, the raid is considered over and you cannot continue the raid
- Once you’ve successfully completed your raid by either stealing or destroying all the entities in the base,
you must leave immediately, and you must advert
Raid Over. You cannot occupy players’ bases.

PD Raids
- The front door of the police department must remain unlocked at all times.
- To raid the police department, players must advert PD Raid.
- Criminals must work together when raiding the pd, they cannot fight against
each other during the raid
- Players inside the PD who are not assisting in the PD Raid are KOS
- In raid against the police department, all normal rules still apply, including NLR.
- Only Civil Protectors and the Mayor can defend from a PD Raid. Players must
work together to raid the police department.

Muggings
- Players must wait five minutes between muggings.
- Players may not mug the same person more than once every ten minutes.
- Players must advert Mug and include a price before mugging!
- Only one person can mug any one player at a time.
- Players can always defend themselves against muggings.
- Mugging amounts cannot exceed $50,000.
- When mugging, give the player at least ten seconds to comply before killing them.
- If the player you’re mugging runs, you have right to kill them.

Kidnappings
- Players must wait five minutes between kidnappings.
- Players may not kidnap the same person more than once every ten minutes.
- Players must advert Kidnap before kidnapping!
- Players can always defend themselves against kidnappings.
- In kidnappings, hostages may be held for a maximum of ten minutes.
- Kidnappers are not required to accept ransom payments.
- Kidnap ransom cannot exceed $100,000.
- If a hostage escapes, they must exit their captor's base as quickly as possible.
- If someone tries to free a hostage, the kidnapper may defend their prisoner.

Theft
- Before a player takes anything from another player without their permission, they
must advert Steal or Theft.
- Players cannot take entities that other players won through a raid during the
process of moving them.

Carjacks
- Players must advert Carjack before carjacking!
- If the owner of a carjacked vehicle offers to buy it back, they must be allowed
to.
- Cars may only be ransomed for up to $50,000.

Weapon Checks
- Police are free to check for weapons on a detained subject.
- Police may weapon-check a person if there is a lawful reason for doing so.
- Weapon checking without consent is considered a form of attack and you can defend
against it.
Job Rules

General Rules
- By default, all classes may have guns, bases, and entities by default, regardless of
their in-game legality.
- All classes have certain roles to fulfill and proper ways to act.
- From this point onward, raids, muggings, kidnappings, carjackings, and other
aggressive, hostile acts are refered to as Hostile actions or "Attacks"
within these rules.

Demotion Rules
- Only people who fail to satisfy the objectives of a certain job should be demoted.
- If a staff member is online, do not Votedemote for server rule violations,
only for in-character reasons.

Citizens
- Citizens may not perform hostile actions agaisnt any other player, only defend
themselves.
- Citizens may never defend anyone outside their Party.
- Citizens may only Party with other Citizens.

Mayor
- The Mayor may not place hits.
- The mayor can be demoted for RP reasons. If the mayor is not acting in the peoples best interest he can be demoted.
- Only the Mayor may build within the PD, but he must not place any defensive
props, only decorations.
- The Mayor can only make laws, not enforce them himself in any capacity.
- The Mayor cannot set laws that allow for server rule violations or hinder
roleplay.
- Mayors may only impose lockdowns for a maximum of ten minutes at a time (with a ten
minute break between lockdowns).
- The Mayor must broadcast a reason for initiating a lockdown.
- The first four laws on the law board cannot be overruled.
- The Mayor can only make laws affecting all players. Not specific players or groups.
- The mayor should not engage in dangerous situations, unless it is in self defense
- Lawboards must be attached to buildings, not floating or mid-air.
- The Mayor may only Party with Civil Protectors.
- The Mayor may accept up to $50,000 as bail money to release prisoners.
- The Mayor can charge at most $60,000 for a gun license
- You must have a valid reason based on an ongoing event to initiate a lockdown.
For example, a pd raid, mass crime spree. Once the threat has passed, you must end the lockdown.

Police and SWAT (Civil Protection)
- Civil Protectors may not place hits.
- Only warrant, want, arrest, or taze players if they are violating in-game laws.
- Siezed entities must be destroyed.
- During lockdowns, all players (excluding Hobos) found outdoors are AOS.
- Civil Protectors can defend themselves and others from all Attacks or hostile
actions without advert.
- Civil Protectors must try to arrest before killing targets unless the officer’s life
is in danger.
- Do not arrest players for defending themselves. Players may fight back against
aggressors without fear of arrest.
- Civil Protectors may arrest anyone found past the second door of the PD.
- Do not build checkpoints of any type.
- Do not intentionally allow or assist rulebreaking.
- Civil Protectors may not own bases or entities.
- Civil Protectors may only raid a player's base with a valid warrant.
- If there is no Mayor online, police may only enforce the first four rules on the law
board.
- While Civil Protectors are immune to laws that prohibit them from performing their
duties, they must still follow all other laws. If they fail to do so, they may be
demoted.
- Civil Protectors may only Party with one another.

Cinema Owners
- Cinema Owners may not perform any hostile actions against any other player,
only defend themselves.
- The cinema is a no-roleplay zone.
- Cinema Owners may not Party with anyone.
- Only the Cinema Owner may build within the Cinema, but he must not place any
entities or defensive props, only decorations

Miners
- Miners may not perform any hostile actions against any other player, only
defend themselves.
- Miners may only Party with other Miners and Guards.

Thieves
- Thieves may perform hostile actions against other players.
- Thieves may only Party with other Thieves, Meth Cooks, and Combat Medics.

Mafia
- Mafia Members and the Godfather may perform hostile actions against other
players.
- While in-character, Mafia Members must obey the Godfather.
- Mafia Members must work together, and cannot Attack one another.
- Mafia Members may only Party with other Mafia Members, Meth Cooks, and
Combat Medics.

Terrorists
- Terrorists and Osama Bin Laden may perform hostile actions against other
players.
- While in-character, Terrorists must obey Osama Bin Laden.
- Terrorists must work together, and cannot Attack one another.
- There is no Terror on this server.
- Terrorists may only Party with other Terrorists, Meth Cooks, and Combat
Medics.

Combat Medics
- Combat Medics may not kidnap, carjack, or mug any other player.
- Combat Medics may not base alone, only in partnership with other players.
- Combat Medics may only assist in raids (they may not be the first to advert
Raid, and may only execute a Raid Assist).
- Combat Medics may only Party with Terrorists, Mafia Members, and Thieves.

Merchants/Dealers
- Merchants may not Attack any other player, only defend themselves.
- Merchants may only build shops, not private bases.
- They must sell their wares to any interested player; they may not refuse service to
anyone.
- Merchants may only Party with other Merchants and Guards.
- Merchants may buy goods for themselves.

Hitmen
- Hitmen may never Attack another player, only complete hits.
- Hitmen may not themselves place hits, or suggest targets to the player placing the hit.
- They may not accept side hits; Hitmen may only accept hits through the offical DarkRP
system.
- Hitmen must advert Hit Accepted and Hit Complete before and after
killing their target.
- Hitmen can assist in a raid if their target is the owner of the base being raided.
- Neither the Mayor nor Civil Protectors may place any hits.
- Players may not place hits on themselves.
- Hitmen may not Party with anyone.

Meth Cooks
- Meth Cooks may not Attack any other player, only defend themselves.
- Meth Cooks may only Party with other Meth Cooks, Thieves, Mafia Members, or
Terrorists.

Guards
- Guards may not perform hostile actions against other players.

- Guards may be hired by any job to protect their base and assets.
- Guards may only Party with Merchants and Medics.

Medics
- Medics may not Attack any other player, only defend themselves.
- Medics may not refuse to treat any other player, but they may charge up to $10,000
for a full heal.
- Medics may only Party with other Medics and Guards.

Vapers
- Vapers may not Attack any other player.
- Vapers may not possess any weapons.
- Vapers may not own and doors, props, or entities.
- Vapers may not Party with anyone.

Hobos
- While in-character, Hobos must obey the Hobo Kings.
- Hobos may not own any doors.
- Hobos may not own any entities (except tip jars and radios) or build indoors.
- Hobos may not own cars with the exception of the tricycle.
- Hobos may place tip jars outdoors.
- Hobos may not be Attacked in any way by any other player, but they are also
themselves not allowed to Attack people.
- Hobos may be killed if they receive 3 valid consecutive warnings, or are interfering
with a raid.
- Hobos may build outdoors, but they may not build on or over the street nor inhibit door access.
- Excluding the ones with which they spawn, Hobos may have no weapons.
- Hobos' bases may not contain any Fading Doors.
- Hobos may only Party with other Hobos.

Batman
- Batman may not perform any hostile actions unless his goal is to prevent
people from breaking the law.
- Batman may only grapple other players to stop them from breaking the law.
- Batman may not Party with anyone.
- Batman is only permitted to use lethal force to stop crimes in which someone's life
is in danger, this including mugging, raiding, and kidnapping. Batman cannot use
lethal force when dealing with situations where no one's life is in danger
- Batman may be arrested for breaking laws.

- All Custom Classes follow the same rules as Thieves, except those with the DarkRP
Hitman system.
